About Asbestos Awareness
The objective of this course is to provide awareness and develop knowledge among employees about the specific hazards and risks posed by asbestos containing materials (ACM's) in your company property portfolio. This course is also designed for anyone that is planning on undertaking any work with up to and including 10 meters squared of bonded non-friable asbestos containing materials. The course further gives an overview of the legislative measures in place to allow employees to safeguard themselves and others affected by work activities.
Who is it for?
Asbestos Awareness training is recommended for all workers who may encounter asbestos when undertaking their daily duties on buildings constructed before the year 2000. The aim of this course is to provide workers with information relating to the likely location of asbestos within these buildings and how to safeguard themselves and others whilst undertaking their daily duties. This course is designed to prevent workers from disturbing all types of asbestos and is designed for delegates not planning on undertaking any removal of bonded products containing asbestos.

Asbestos Wise was created by asbestos industry professionals with extensive experience and knowledge. The Asbestos Wise team have a combined experience of over 30 years and qualifications that include all of the British Occupational Hygiene Society (BOHS) Asbestos Proficiency (P) Certificates from P401 to P405. The team all hold current New Zealand Asbestos Assessor Licences.
